Patrick grew up in Independence, Oregon and came to Springfield when he started law school at the University of Oregon in the fall of 1993. Patrick earned his undergraduate degree in History from Western Oregon University.
Patrick and his wife Laurie bought their first home in Springfield in 1997 and have been here ever since. Patrick's practice initially took him to Cottage Grove where he was a partner in his own law firm for over ten years. In 2011 he had the opportunity to bring his practice home to Springfield and is excited to serve clients in his home community.
Professionally, Patrick's expertise is broad based but focuses primarily on family law and criminal prosecution. With his work, Patrick is most passionate about helping others and educating them to understand a complex legal system.
When asked what he does best for his clients Pat states, "In family law cases I am best at solving both the legal and social problems that are unique to these types of cases. Solutions are not always found in the law but rather by focusing on the people you represent and their particular situation. "
Patrick is a member of both the Oregon State Bar and Lane County Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the State of Oregon, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and United States District Court for the District of Oregon.
When not at work, Patrick can be seen volunteering with the Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Saint Paul Parish School and Marist High School. For enjoyment, Patrick might be spotted playing drums with his band Mystery Train, hiking and camping in the summer, watching Duck football and spending time with his wife and two children.
