Meszaros, James A.

Scott Medsker has broad experience across multiple facets of labor and employment law, including traditional labor matters and matters covered by the Railway Labor Act. Specifically, Scott has represented clients across various industries in all phases of labor arbitration (both disciplinary and contract arbitration), counseled clients in collective bargaining strategy development and negotiation, and provided advice on traditional labor relations issues. He also has substantial experience advising clients on retiree health care benefit strategies and related litigation. Under the Railway Labor Act, Scott has represented railroad industry clients before federal agencies in various matters under the Federal Rail Safety Act. In addition to his labor experience, Scott has experience in employment discrimination litigation and has defended clients in multiple plaintiff and class action matters, both in the investigation phase before state and federal agencies, as well as in the litigation phase in federal court.

Scott is a frequent author on labor and employment issues and monitors labor and employment legislation currently pending before Congress to advise clients on recent developments. He is a member of the Labor & Employment Sections of the D.C. Bar Association and the American Bar Association and is a member of the board of directors of the National Capitol Association of Wabash Men.
