Eric A. Mertz graduated from Ohio State University with a B.A. in 1976 and from the University of Toledo Law School in 1979. He served on the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers from 1991-2001.
A life-long resident of Northwest Ohio, Mr. Mertz maintains a general practice of law with emphasis on personal injury litigation (including insurance claims and death claims) and family law (including divorce and child custody cases). He is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. NBTA has been approved by the Supreme Court Commission on Certification of Attorneys as Specialists in the State of Ohio.
