Wendy Chen practices corporate law with a focus on domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, restructurings, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and corporate governance for public and private companies.
Wendy advises and represents clients in a variety of industries, including communications, energy, insurance, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, private equity, and technology. Her recent representations include: Chrysler LLC in the strategic sale of substantially all of its assets to Fiat S.p.A; Financial Guaranty Insurance Company in the reinsurance of its public finance obligations (valued at $166 billion in par) by MBIA Insurance Corporation, one of the largest and most notable transactions of its kind in history; and Shred-it International in a recapitalization backed by Birch Hill Equity Partners and Westerkirk Capital.
Wendy also has substantial experience in developing and implementing worldwide policies and compliance procedures for maintaining, handling, and safeguarding private information.
Wendy co-chairs the New York Office's pro bono nonprofit corporations practice and works with various community organizations.
