Anna Melamud is a senior associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department. She joined the firm in 2010.
Past Experience
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Melamud completed a clerkship for the Honorable Juan R. Torruella on the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She also interned for the Honorable Fausto Pocar on the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.
During law school, Ms. Melamud interned in the Office of the Legal Advisor at the United States Department of State, where she drafted memos concerning various international criminal law enforcement and diplomatic law questions affecting the US government. She also interned at the AIRE Centre, a UK-based NGO that advises and represents individuals on issues of European Human Rights Law.
Ms. Melamud participated in a law school asylum clinic where she represented a Rwandan refugee in proceedings before an immigration judge. She has also worked as an immigration paralegal at a small New York firm, where she handled a variety of business, family and humanitarian-based immigration matters.
