Medlin, Chadwick D.

While attending Pace University, Mr. McLaughlin was a member of the Pace Law Review, and was named a Ranking Scholar (1990-1992) and Trustee Scholar (1989-1992). He currently serves as an Alumni Mentor.

Mr. McLaughlin has a diversified national civil practice. He advises client companies on risk management issues, the coordination of national defense efforts, and other litigation issues. He handles matters on both the trial and appellate levels. He specializes in general commercial, product liability, catastrophic personal injury and insurance-related litigation. In the commercial litigation context, Mr. McLaughlin represents Fortune 500 companies in commercial real estate and contract disputes, actions involving alleged business torts and violations of consumer protection statutes, franchise-related actions, transportation and carrier litigation and insurance coverage matters. With respect to products liability-related personal injury claims, he represents the manufacturers of automobiles, earthmoving equipment, consumer products and industrial equipment, as well as companies facing exposure from of industrial accidents and other catastrophic events.

Mr. McLaughlin is currently working with a national equipment insurer/inspection company to develop and coordinate its defense strategies and activities in connection with inspection related litigation throughout the United States. He has served as coordinating counsel in both the commercial and personal injury contexts.

Mr. McLaughlin is a member of the state bars of New York and Connecticut. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York and has handled matters in Iowa, Georgia, New Jersey, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vermont.
