As an attorney with Broude, Smith & Jennings, P.C., Kathryn Durham McGlinchey has the privilege of representing a broad range of clients in the areas of business and commercial real estate law. Her first-chair experience includes: sales of selected assets out of a Texas multifamily portfolio, aggregating to more than $65 million, and involving complex loan assumption and defeasance issues; a $29 million sale of a large multifamily property in Orlando, Florida, involving the release of municipal bond financing; a $11.5 million acquisition of a multifamily property in the urban center of Houston, Texas, involving complex boundary and easement issues; a $7 million stock and asset acquisition with respect to a North Texas outdoor advertising company and certain of its affiliated entities; and a $4.5 million acquisition lease of an assisted living facility in Illinois. While she enjoys the challenges inherent in closing large commercial deals, she recognizes that smaller projects can be as, or even more, rewarding, and she derives personal satisfaction from using the skills that she has developed in working on more high-profile matters in providing business start-ups and other entrepreneurial clients with a quality product at a competitive price.
