Eileen M. McGivney is an associate at Weik, Nitsche & Dougherty. Eileen graduated from the University of Delaware in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in English. Eileen received her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2011 graduating Cum Laude.
While in law school, Eileen served as an Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review as well as Publicity Chair of the Moot Court Board. Eileen was a writer for the school newsletter, The Pillar, in which she wrote articles about current legal issues. Upon graduating, Eileen was one of four students selected to become a member of the National Order of Scribes, an honorary organization that recognizes graduating law students who excel in legal writing.
Prior to joining the firm, Eileen served as an intern for the Delaware Department of Justice Fraud Division, in which she gained experience in legal research and writing. Additionally, Eileen interned at the firm of Brutscher, Foley, Milliner & Land, LLP, in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, working in a variety of areas of law including family law, land use and zoning, and personal injury.
Ms. McGivney was admitted to the Delaware Bar and Pennsylvania Bar in 2012. She is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
