Mr. McLain has been in the general practice of law for over 40 years, the great majority of time being with two firms in Dallas. During that time as equity partner, his primary areas of responsibility were litigation and serving as general counsel for various business clients. He concluded that clients are better served in a small law office environment. Accordingly, he established a solo practice which enables him to control costs for his clients by eliminating redundancy, maintain better communication and effect faster service for his clients. Karen Bender, a Certified Legal Assistant, who has been with him for 15 years, assists Mr. McLain. He networks with other attorneys when a client has specific needs in areas of law which are not the focus of his practice. He received a bachelor of business degree and law degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Texas and in the United States District Court for the Northern District and Eastern District and has the highest rating given attorneys by the national rating service provided by Martindale Hubbell, a national rating organization for attorneys.
