James M. McFaul was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree by the University of California, Los Angeles in 1973, and a Juris Doctor by Loyola Law School in 1978.  For most of his career, Mr. McFaul has devoted his practice exclusively to the analysis and litigation of insurance coverage matters.  Mr. McFaul's focus in his coverage practice is to render prompt, accurate and defensible coverage opinions when requested, and to aggressively litigate an insurer's coverage position when required.  Mr. McFaul's practice has included extensive experience with both first and third-party coverages.  In recent years, Mr. McFaul's services have been regularly engaged in various litigation matters including construction defect cases; environmental actions; business and commercial claims potentially involving personal injury coverage, advertising injury coverage, and directors and officers coverage; employment claims involving alleged wrongful termination and harassment; professional liability coverage claims, and a wide array of complex disputes arising among insurers in cases of coinsurance.
