I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in 1976, and my law degree, magna cum laude, from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1980. My law school honors include American Jurisprudence Awards in both Criminal Procedure and Administrative Law and National Moot Court Team presidency.
I have been a member of the firm for over a decade. I lead our Business and Commercial Law department and concentrate on Business Litigation and Real Estate Law.
In addition to nearly 30 years experience in private practice, I have served as an adjunct professor of law at Southern Illinois University School of Law, where I taught Real Estate Finance and Development. I have also lectured and published articles for several continuing legal education programs, including programs sponsored by the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. I’ve published papers on Illinois Mortgage Foreclosure Law, Bad Faith Insurance Claims, Mechanics Lien Foreclosure, Construction Bonds and Liens on Public Funds, Enforcement of Judgments, and Repossession of Personal Property.
My interests include golf, history and archeology. I also love to cook and enjoy good fiction.
