Rod McLeod is a trial lawyer representing plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state court cases. He has tried a number of cases to verdict and judgment. He focuses his practice in commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, and international arbitration in the context of cross-cultural multijurisdictional disputes. He has argued appeals in federal and state courts. Rod has chaired arbitration panels and arbitrated domestic and international arbitrations for multinational companies. He is experienced in all forms of ADR.

Recently Rod obtained the dismissal of a multimillion dollar claim against a Taiwan solar cell manufacturer. He defended a major U.S. retailer's code of conduct against attack from a Singaporean vendor and an Indonesian factory. He achieved a multimillion dollar arbitration award for a Canadian mining company involving a dispute over a Uruguayan gold mine investment. Rod successfully defended an international airline against antitrust claims, in the process obtaining significant monetary sanctions against plaintiffs and their counsel. He favorably resolved a multimillion dollar lender liability suit in Guam for a Hong Kong bank.

Rod has been a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators for more than 10 years. He was elected to the California State Bar Board of Governors. He was a member of San Francisco's School Board and appointed by the governor to California's San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission. Rod is a founding board member of APIASF, the first national college scholarship fund serving the Asian/Pacific Islander communities.
