McGill, John G.

Mr. McCune graduated from Duke University in 1971, with and A.B. and with Honors in History. He obtained his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1974 and has been practicing law in Martinsburg, West Virginia, in a general litigation practice, for over 34 years. During that time he has defended insured's against both medical malpractice and legal malpractice, working on behalf of Aetna Casualty and Surety Co., ALPS, Transguard Insurance Company and Travelers Insurance. He has represented Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, West Virginia, Broaddus Hospital in Philippi, West Virginia, and more recently Potomac Valley Hospital and Mid-Atlantic Health Management, and also serves as West Virginia counsel for the Shenandoah Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is currently representing the Plaintiff in a case of nursing home neglect which resulted in death. He is admitted to practice in West Virginia, in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Mr. McCune holds the following memberships: the Berkeley County Bar Association, the West Virginia Bar Association, and the American Bar Association, as well as the West Virginia State Bar, The Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, Defense Research Institute, Defense Trial counsel of West Virginia (Member, Board of Governors 1993 - 1998); Rotary Club of Martinsburg; Executive Committee, Shenandoah Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
