McElhone, James E.

Ms. McDermott obtained her Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of San Diego and thereafter received her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law. While in law school, Ms. McDermott was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board, she was the Magistrar of the International Legal Fraternity of Phi Delta Phi, and she was the founding content editor of the San Diego International Law Journal.

Ms. McDermott was admitted to practice law in the State of California in 1999. Ms. McDermott has more than thirteen years of experience in civil litigation, including complex business cases and employment-related matters. In addition, Ms. McDermott’s practice has focused on law and motion as well as appeals. Ms. McDermott is a Certified Specialist in Appellate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Moreover, Ms. McDermott is admitted to appear before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States District Court - Southern District of California, the United States District Court - Central District of California, and the United States District Court - Eastern District of California as well as before all courts in the State of California
