Paul McConnell has been trying lawsuits involving business transactions for over 35 years. He has handled cases in the Texas Supreme Court, a majority of the Courts of Appeals in the state of Texas, and state district courts in various counties around Texas, as well as throughout the federal court system, including the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Western, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of Texas and numerous bankruptcy courts. Mr. McConnell has handled real estate, oil and gas, and insurance cases, on both sides of the docket, and has represented both the sellers of businesses and the purchasers of those businesses. He has handled lawsuits against municipalities on condemnation, zoning and platting matters and has represented landlords and tenants in commercial lease disputes. He has represented directors and officers of corporations in suits against them, has handled non-competition agreement lawsuits, and has represented numerous lenders in workouts, foreclosures, and related matters. He has been involved in several bad faith cases involving insurance, is a member of the Texas Land Title Association, and has served on several of its committees. He has lectured a number of times on title insurance and real estate matters.
