Matthew L. McBride III is the founder of McBride Law Offices, P.C. located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Mr. McBride, a former Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney, has over fifteen years of litigation experience and has litigated on behalf of, and against, Fortune 500 companies in complex commercial matters. After leaving a prestigious boutique litigation Firm in downtown Chicago, Mr. McBride founded McBride Law Offices, P.C. in 2010 to offer his Clients Downtown experience with suburban value.
Mr. McBride’s practice currently focuses in representing employees and small businesses involved in employment disputes. These disputes often involve issues relating to unpaid commissions, whistleblowing, noncompete agreements, and/or severance issues associated with termination and/or resignation from employment. In 2012, Mr. McBride authored “Noncompete Agreements in Illinois after Reliable – A Subtle Warning to the Practitioner.” The Article, which analyzed and reviewed the Illinois Supreme Court’s decision regarding noncompetition agreements, was published in the January 2012 in Newsbriefs, a publication of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association.
Mr. McBride also devotes a significant amount of his practice to Trust and Estate Litigation, including Will Contests and Breach of Fiduciary Duty matters. These matters often involve sensitive family issues and fraud which demand immediate attention followed by detailed investigation. Mr. McBride’s knowledge regarding computer forensics and document examination has proven especially valuable to his Clients in this area.
In addition to being licensed to practice law in Illinois and Nebraska, Mr. McBride is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Seventh, Eighth, and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal, and has litigated in many Courts throughout the Midwest. Mr. McBride has tried hundreds of bench trials and first-chaired numerous jury trials to verdict in state and federal court.
