MYRON MAY  is an Associate in the Houston and San Antonio offices of Kennard Law, P.C. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. May was an Associate for a large law firm and represented clients ranging from Fortune 50 companies to family-owned businesses in disputes with amounts in controversy as high as $10 million.

With enthusiasm, intense focus, and great energy, Mr. May provides individuals with superior representation and has earned a reputation as a zealous advocate for his clients. Mr. May focuses his practice on civil litigation, with a specific emphasis on employment-related matters. He has particular expertise in the following issues:

  • Wage and hour disputes
  • Employment discrimination on the basis of disability, age, race, sex, and religion;
  • Sexual harassment;
  • Wrongful discharge; and
  • Retaliation.

He regularly appears in state and federal courts on matters involving the following:
  • Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Title VII
  • Americans with Disabilities Act;
  • Family Medical Leave Act; and
  • Texas Labor Code.
Mr. May also offers compliance counseling to small businesses. Mr. May is admitted to practice in the State of Texas and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.

In addition to maintaining a successful law practice, Mr. May is a Subcommittee Chair of the Houston Bar Association’s Minority Opportunities in the Legal Profession Committee and a Volunteer Coordinator with the Special Olympics of Texas.

Mr. May earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Florida State University and a Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law. During law school, he served as Comment Editor of the Texas Tech University Law Review and Chairperson of the Rocky Mountain Region of the National Black Law Students Association. Prior to attending law school, Mr. May worked in management for one of the world’s largest retailers and operated his own wireless accessories company.
