Prior to joining Poskus, Caton & Klein, P.C., Ms. Maxfield gained valuable estate planning and probate experience with the law firm Bryan Cave LLP, formerly Holme Roberts & Owen LLP. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Colorado and is a member of the Trust and Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association. While receiving her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, Ms. Maxfield interned for the Honorable C. Jean Stewart of the Denver Probate Court and became familiar with that court's procedures. Ms. Maxfield is involved in both the Women's Estate Planning Council and the Colorado Women's Bar Association. Before choosing to attend law school, Ms. Maxfield worked as an educator near the Navajo Nation in Page, Arizona. She enjoys spending her spare time sightseeing in Colorado and other Western states, visiting family and friends and reading about the history of the American West.
