Mayer, Paul G.

Jing Xia is an associate in the firm’s New York office, where her practice focuses on client counseling and pharmaceutical litigation. 

Prior to join Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider, Dr. Xia worked at other law firms in New York and New Jersey providing counseling to mid and large size generic companies.  She has more than eight years of experience in generic product selection, formulation design around, freedom-to-operate and non-infringement/invalidity opinions, and Hatch-Waxman litigations.  She also prosecuted patents in areas such as organic chemistry, biotechnology and computer software.

Dr. Xia received her J.D. from Rutgers University and her Ph.D., M.S. and M.Phil. in pharmacology from Columbia University.  Her graduate research work focused on rational drug design of ion channel blockers.  She attended Zhejiang University for her undergraduate training in both biotechnology and computer science.
