John is a third-generation attorney in the law practice established by his grandfather, Fred Hughes, in 1934. Consistent with this firm’s long-standing philosophy, John enjoys working closely with clients on a personal level in order to comprehensively address their legal concerns. His primary areas of focus are business formation, business transactions, trademark and servicemark registration, real estate, land use and zoning, healthcare, non-profit formation and compliance, estate planning, and probate administration. John has formed and advised business clients, including franchisees, retail businesses, entertainment businesses, healthcare and long-term care facilities, and non-profit, tax-exempt entities. John has also litigated business contract disputes, shareholder disputes, landlord issues, and other real property issues.
