ROBERT F. MASLAN, JR. is a member of the firm. He practices in the areas of land use and commercial litigation. Mr. Maslan serves as an Attorney Trial Referee and as a Special Master in the Connecticut Superior Court for the Judicial District of Stamford/Norwalk, and as a hearing officer for the Norwalk Public Schools. He is a member of the Connecticut and the Fairfield County Bar Associations. Mr. Maslan is Corporation Counsel for the City of Norwalk.
A 1987 graduate of Fairfield University with a B.S. degree in Finance, summa cum laude, Mr. Maslan received his Juris Doctor degree from the Fordham University School of Law in 1990. He served as Articles and Commentary Editor of Fordham Law Review. Mr. Maslan was a member of the Connecticut State Police Department from 1974 to 1988, during which he served with the Criminal Intelligence and Aviation Units, and attained the rank of Sergeant.
Mr. Maslan is a member of the Board of Directors of the Darien YMCA. He is a former member and president of the Norwalk Seaport Association, (1999-2000). He served as Vice Chairperson of the Norwalk Human Relations Commission (1994-1996), Chairperson of the Norwalk Police Community Relations Advisory Committee (1994-1995), member of the Norwalk Revaluation Advisory Committee (1992), and Vice Chairperson and Director of the West Norwalk Association (1991-1993). Mr. Masland is an adjunct professor at Norwalk Community College.
Mr. Maslan is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York state courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the District of Connecticut and the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York.
