The road I traveled to get to my law practice had an unconventional beginning. I started off having graduated as a 19 year old dental hygienist. I worked in the field of Dentistry and obtained my B.S. in Education and taught dental hygiene at Missouri Southern State College. I then secured an M.S. in Education and worked as a Health Care Coordinator at a Head Start Program. It was at Head Start where I developed my heart for helping children and families. I worked closely with emotionally, physically, and sexually abused children. This experience helped to shape my knowledge of family dynamics, which has proven invaluable in my family law practice.
I started law school in 1985 at the University of Missouri in Kansas City while simultaneously raising a family. I have had my own law practice for the last 14 years and have found that my past educational, professional land family experiences have all contributed to my success.
Finally, I have always loved to travel. With international traveling experiences, I have continued to build upon my love of learning about other people, cultures, and societies. The area of immigration and naturalization, as well as international adoptions, has helped me continue to expand my horizons.
