Mr. Mariniello joined the firm in 1994 and became a shareholder/member in 2000. Currently, Mr. Mariniello maintains a general practice with an emphasis on commercial and residential real estate, lending, land use and zoning, municipal law, business organization, corporate counsel, and general civil litigation. In addition, Mr. Mariniello’s practice includes the areas of estate planning, employment law, property tax, alternative dispute resolution and contract law. The diverse practice fits in well with the firm’s philosophy of providing a full service general practice able to meet the varied needs of its clients.
Mr. Mariniello has closed hundreds of purchases and sales in northern New Jersey on behalf of both individuals and corporate entities. In addition over the course of the last four years he has developed a lending practice that has including the lending of well over one hundred million dollars, on behalf of both private individuals, the federal government (HUD) and mortgage and banking institutions in New Jersey and throughout the United States.
Mr. Mariniello has served as counsel to numerous municipal governments, boards of adjustment, planning boards and boards of education throughout northern New Jersey. He has also appeared before a range of state agencies throughout New Jersey on behalf of private citizens and public entities.
In 2002, Mr. Mariniello was appointed as a Commissioner for the New Jersey State Commission of Investigation (SCI) by the Speaker for the New Jersey State Assembly, Albio Sires. In 2006, Mr. Mariniello was reappointed to the SCI for an additional four years, ending December, 2009. In addition, Mr. Mariniello serves on the Board of Directors and Program Committee of the Greater Fort Lee Chamber of Commerce.
Recently, Mr. Mariniello has spoken before the Greater Fort Lee Chamber of Commerce Professionals Council on Commercial Transactions and the Association of Government Accountants on the role of the State Commission of Investigation in the complex web of state watchdog agencies.
