After graduating from the College of Charleston in South Carolina, Matt earned his law degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. During his years at Tulane, Matt also attended Cambridge University in Cambridge, England to further his legal education in the areas of International Law, Conflicts of International Law and the Laws and Theories of War.
A native of Advance, North Carolina, a small town in Davie County, Matt returned from New Orleans to pursue his law career in his home state. After working for an insurance defense firm for several years, Matt chose to open his own office to pursue other areas of law. Matt, in addition to his duties as managing partner, currently practices in the areas of family law, immigration, personal injury, business law and general civil litigation.
When Matt isn’t at the office, he remains active in the community, attends church, plays golf and spends time with his wife and Labrador Retriever.
