Prior to joining the firm in August 2000, Ms. Mailahn clerked for the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the District of Nebraska in Lincoln, as well as a local general practice firm. Ms. Mailahn represents clients in family law disputes, including cases involving domestic violence. She also handles criminal and juvenile cases and is often appointed Guardian Ad Litem, whose role is to protect the best interest of the child, during the course of a juvenile legal proceeding. Ms. Mailahn also represents both employers and employees in workers’ compensation matters at the trial level and in front of the Workers' Compensation Review Panel and the appellate courts.
