Shane Maguire represents clients in the areas of employment litigation and counseling and commercial litigation.

Labor and Employment

Mr. Maguire counsels clients on numerous labor and employment issues including mandatory leave laws, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws, employee handbook provisions, and wage and hour compliance. He also represents clients in agency investigations and in all phases of litigation pertaining to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims as well as wage and hour disputes.

Commercial Litigation

Mr. Maguire represents clients in a wide variety of commercial disputes including breach of contract, trade secret, and unfair competition claims.

Trial Work

Mr. Maguire has served as counsel in several employment and tort liability matters that have proceeded to trial.

Previous Experience

Mr. Maguire has previously represented public and private sector clients in a wide range of litigation disputes with a particular emphasis on employment and commercial matters. His experience also includes prelitigation counseling as well as advice regarding collective bargaining agreements and administrative proceedings. Additionally, he has worked in the Office of the General Counsel for a Fortune 500 energy company where he litigated tort claims and real property disputes and provided advice regarding state regulations.

Personal History

Mr. Maguire was born in Santa Monica, California and grew up in the Conejo Valley. He is married with four children and currently resides in Thousand Oaks.
