Kathryn Mahady specializes in Criminal Defense and Immigration Law, specifically VAWA and Asylum Immigration. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Ms. Mahady relocated to Arizona in the late ‘90s. She graduated from the University of Arizona and then continued there for her Master of Arts in Teaching and Teacher Education. She taught seventh grade Social Studies in Tucson for several years, during which time she was the recipient of two Fulbright awards. As a result, she was afforded the opportunity to spend a year in South Africa and a summer in Turkey. While at the University of Arizona for her J.D., Ms. Mahady clerked for Aspey, Watkins and Diesel, as well as for the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Tucson. She also served as President of the Law Women’s Association.
