Gerard S. (Jerry) Williams is a Board Certified criminal trial attorney who has handled thousands of criminal cases, including over 250 criminal jury trials, in the past 20 years. Only a small percentage (Fewer than 5%) of attorneys have been designated “Board Certified” due to their specialized certification and trial experience.

Mr. Williams was a prosecutor for the Broward State Attorney’s Office from 1992 through 2001. During that time he was responsible for litigating cases from DUI to Drugs to Homicide. As a supervising prosecutor in the Felony Trial Unit, Mr. Williams directed a team of prosecuting attorneys. He was a supervisor and lead attorney in the prosecution of DUI Manslaughter cases. From 1998 through 2001 he prosecuted sex offenders in the Special Victims/Sex Crimes Unit of the State Attorney’s Office.

Since 2002 he has devoted his practice to defending clients charged with criminal offenses in South Florida. Mr. Williams is one of a limited number of trial attorneys that have tried First Degree Murder cases and been designated by the criminal courts as “Death Penalty Qualified” to handle Capital Murder cases.
