Ms. Widener is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Anderson, McPharlin & Conners LLP. Her practice focuses on representation of title insurers, escrows, real estate owners, loan servicers, lienholders and other professionals in litigation. Ms. Widener frequently advises and litigates matters relating to real property disputes; easements; broker, escrow and title liability; probate; mortgage banking and loan servicing; and general commercial litigation. She has extensive experience representing loan servicers and lenders against challenges to the validity of liens arising out of fraud and forgery, as well as claims arising out of the Truth-in-Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Practices Act, Financial Elder Abuse Act, Unfair Business Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and state and federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Acts.
Ms. Widener has spoken at the California Mortgage Bankers Western States Loan Servicing Conference as well as the Mortgage Banker's Association Fraud Issues Conference and Quality Assurance Conference. She has also presented continuing education seminars to realtors and escrow officers.
