Laura MacDonald is an associate in the firm's New York office. Her practice is focused on securities litigation, government investigations, and white collar criminal defense.
Before joining Bickel & Brewer, Ms. MacDonald practiced law at Latham & Watkins LLP. She also worked as a consultant to Northwestern's Center for International Human Rights, monitoring the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) in Phnom Penh.
Ms. MacDonald received her bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, in political science from Northwestern University in 2003. She then served in the White House Office of Cabinet Affairs and Domestic Policy Council before earning her juris doctor degree, cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law in 2008. During law school, Ms. MacDonald was the managing editor of the Journal of Criminal Law & Criminology, a member of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team, a research assistant for Professor Marshall Shapo, and a judicial extern for the Honorable Sidney Schenkier of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Ms. MacDonald is admitted to practice in New York.
