Melissa H. Lum is an Associate Attorney with the Watkins Firm's litigation and transactional departments.  Ms. Lum's practice focuses on business litigation, employment law, contract disputes and wills and trusts.  Prior to joining the Watkins Firm, APC, Ms. Lum gained experience in a wide variety of matters including employment law, contract disputes, lemon law, family law, real estate disputes, Chapter 7 bankruptcy, and estate planning.  Ms. Lum has also provided general counsel to various San Diego businesses, and has written several appeals, prevailing on all of them.     

Ms. Lum is a native San Diegan who was raised in the Clairemont and Carmel Valley communities.  She is an athlete at heart, and especially enjoys lacrosse, a sport in which she has extensive experience playing and coaching.  Ms. Lum also spends much of her free time, cooking, roaming boutique shops and farmers markets, dining out with friends, and traveling.  Ms. Lum's travels have included: China, England, Scotland, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Greece, Turkey, Canada, Mexico, and Jamaica.
