Gary R. Weitkamp was admitted to practice in 1979. After practicing law for 17 years, Mr. Weitkamp co-founded RWSV in 1996. He has concentrated his practice in business and taxation matters.

In his business practice, Mr. Weitkamp represents clients in a wide variety of acquisitions, divestitures and business formations and restructuring locally, nationally and in Canada and Mexico, involving both publicly traded and closely held entities.

In his tax practice, Mr. Weitkamp handles controversies for both publicly traded and closely held businesses and for individuals at the federal, state and local levels, and provides a wide range of tax planning and advice to businesses and individuals. Mr. Weitkamp’s tax practice also includes estate planning and representation in probate matters throughout Kentucky.

Mr. Weitkamp is a native of Fort Thomas, Kentucky. He received his law degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1979, where he was awarded the Order of the Coif. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, in an interdepartmental major of business, political science and speech from Wittenberg University in 1976.

Mr. Weitkamp has been a lecturer at national and regional seminars concerning federal and state tax matters, and is a member of the Kentucky, Louisville and American Bar Associations.
