Prior to joining Kuder, Smollar and Friedman, Mr. Locey served as the judicial law clerk to the Honoroable Susan R. Holmes Winfield at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Mr. Locey then did a second judicial clerkship under the Honorable Jerry S. Byrd, also of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, from 2006-07.
At the conclusion of his clerkship, Mr. Locey entered private practice with the firm of Kuder, Smollar and Friedman, where he now works on cases in Virginia (including Alexandria, Fairfax and Arlington Counties) and the District of Columbia involving divorce, alimony, child custody, child support, paternity, and all other issues related to family law. Mr. Locey represents clients in litigation, but also in mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. In addition to his practice, Mr. Locey regularly provides pro bono services for the District of Columbia Superior Court Attorney Negotiator Project and the Self Help Center.
