Ada Gloria Llerena is a native Floridian born and raised in Miami by Cuban parents.  Her lifelong passion for the law began as a child while watching Perry Mason reruns on her black and white television set.  Propelled by her bilingual family's love of culture, arts, literature music and learning, Ada graduated from Southwest Miami Senior High School 1980 while participating in the high school dual enrollment program at Miami-Dade College.  Ada then graduated first from the University Of Miami School Of Business with a BBA in International Finance & Marketing in 1983, and again from the University Of Miami School Of Law with a JD in 1987. 

She became licensed to practice law in Florida in 1989 and also in the District Of Columbia in 1991.

Because of Ada's strong bilingual skills, it wasn't long before her career took both exciting and interesting turns. After first working for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission shortly after her graduation from law school, a thoughtful mentor at the EEOC gave her name to a Univision television producer who began inviting her to various nationally and internationally viewed spanish language television  programs to educate the spanish speaking public about legal issues. Not long afterwards, Ada began working as General Counsel for Editorial America, the leading spanish language publisher of popular magazines such as Vanidades, Cosmopolitan En Español, Marie Claire and many others. Working with the company's nearly 45 subsidiaries around Latin and Central America set the stage for the development of an international clientele later in her career.  Her television appearances continued and soon the issue of Family Law began to emerge. 

When Ada began her law practice in early 1997, Family Law came calling in the form of her very first case: a paternity case that quickly turned into a parental kidnapping case.  As in the old Clairol commercial "And she told 2 friends and so on and so on", Ada quickly found herself representing many clients with family law issues of all sorts ranging from divorces and paternity actions to adoptions and gestational surrogacy.  And so her Family Law practice came into being and Ada's clients came from all walks of life and every country imaginable.  During the early years of her law practice, Ada became fascinated not only with getting her clients what they needed through litigation but also with the emerging need for negotiation to minimize legal fees.   Ada became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family and County Civil Mediator in 2005 and a Circuit Civil Mediator in 2009. 

Ada presently continues with her Family litigation and mediation practice as well as frequent television and radio appearances to educate the public about legal rights and issues.

Ada and her husband, Manuel Mari, a Miami Real Estate and Civil lawyer, spend  their leisure time enjoying Miami's diverse culture, arts, music and literature as well as spending time with their families.
