Originally from Milbank, South Dakota, Mark received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from
Creighton University in 1984. He then attended Creighton University Law School where he received American Jurisprudence honors in Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence. Mark was also a member of the Creighton Moot Court Team, participating in the Midwest Regional Moot Court competition and a National Insurance Moot Court competition in Hartford, Connecticut. He joined the Firm upon graduation in 1987, focusing on Insurance, Commercial and Criminal Litigation. Mark is now a partner with the Firm, and in addition to the cases he has tried in State and Federal Courts, he also has a substantial Appellate Practice, and has been admitted to practice in several Federal District Courts and Circuit Courts of Appeal. He is also a member of the United States Supreme Court, and in 1994, argued the case of Victor v. Nebraska before the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. His outside interests include all local spectator sports, golf, and the arts.
