Since joining the firm in 2009, Patrick has focused his practice primarily on real estate litigation, eminent domain law, and property acquisition. Patrick has managed and consulted in numerous types of public infrastructure projects and has gained extensive experience in the acquisition, condemnation, and appeals processes. In that role, Patrick has developed a thorough understanding of the issues that both public and private clients face during improvement projects. Additionally, Patrick has represented clients in a wide range of property rights based litigation including tax appeals, landlord/tenant disputes, partition actions, adverse possession cases, and breach of contract claims.
Patrick graduated from University of Kansas School of Law in 2008. At KU, he was an active leader in the student community, serving as President of the Student Bar Association and chairing the President’s Club and Dean’s Advisory Committee. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for the Honorable C. Jean Stewart of Denver County, Colorado, and the Honorable Paula B. Martin of Douglas County, Kansas.
Patrick is an active member of his community and maintains strong ties with various civic and professional organizations. Patrick, his wife Kirsten, and their dog Sidney, live in Lawrence.
