Jason is an experienced trial lawyer who practices commercial litigation in a wide range of substantive areas, with a special emphasis on litigation involving the construction, real estate, food, and healthcare industries. Prior to joining Maslon in 2002, Jason honed his trial and appellate skills as a Naval Officer with the United States Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps, where he led hundreds of courts-martial, administrative hearings, and military appeal cases. As a commercial litigator, Jason has appeared in federal and state court on behalf of food companies, design-build firms, general contractors, architects, specialty contractors, property management companies, real estate owners, and lenders. He has also litigated disputes involving product liability, insurance coverage, international trade, land use, business torts, unfair competition, intellectual property, healthcare fraud, non-compete agreements, and medical malpractice. Outside of the office, Jason's passions are his family, fitness, and nutrition. Jason has been named to the 2006-2009 and 2011-2012 Minnesota Rising Stars® list.
