Lewis, Willa I.

Judith Lewin is a staff attorney in the firm's Litigation/Controversy Department. She joined the firm in 2005.

Practice

Ms. Lewin focuses her practice on issues of e-discovery. Specifically, she works with other attorneys, litigation technology project managers, and paralegals on teams that manage electronic and other documents in large cases and investigations. Attorneys on these teams take a leadership role in the document control process, systematically tracking documents from preservation to collection and through review and production. They work with e-discovery vendors and their review and analytical tools; review documents; train and oversee other firm and contract attorneys who review documents; and partner with project managers to perform production quality control.

Ms. Lewin has direct experience with managing all aspects of the discovery process on a broad range of matters including SEC enforcement actions, regulatory matters, securities class actions, civil and internal investigations, and intellectual property litigation. She has extensive experience with various e-discovery tools, training and managing attorneys assisting with discovery matters, document review and production issues, and drafting privilege logs.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Lewin clerked for the Honorable Socrates H. Mihalakos and the Honorable Alexandra D. DiPentima of the Appellate Court of the State Connecticut. Previously, she served as a law clerk for the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch of the Superior Court.
