Mr. Wallshein was admitted to the New York Bar in May, 1991 after graduating University of Miami Law School.. He is with the firm of Macco & Stern LLP, in Melville where his practice focuses on mortgage foreclosure defense, real property, banking and finance. In 1998 he founded Commercial Capital Alliance, a small balance commercial loan conduit. He participated in drafting securitization language for the commercial pooling and servicing agreements as well as standardizing commercial underwriting guidelines and creating performance predictability models for securitized commercial finance products. Prior to attending law school he spent several years on Wall Street trading stock index futures and options contracts. Since the banking crisis of 2008 Charles’ practice focuses on residential foreclosure defense and commercial loan restructuring. He is published in numerous journals in the areas of securitization failure, foreclosure, loan restructuring and financial accounting of distressed assets.
