Kathryn Shaw Wallace was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science and Criminal Justice and in 2003 with a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting. Mrs. Wallace then moved to Orlando Florida to attend law school at Barry University School of Law in 2004.After graduating with honors from law school, she began practicing criminal law in 2007 at the State Attorney's Office in Charlotte County. As a prosecutor, Mrs. Wallace has handled 1000's of misdemeanor and felony cases. During her time as a felony prosecutor she was assigned to handle many complex economic crime and DUI manslaughter cases.Mrs. Wallace was lead prosecutor for both Mental Health Court and Drug Court, and was given the opportunity to work closely with the service providers of Charlotte County.
