Lewin, Judith B.

            Peter N. Leritz has represented individuals and corporations, as both plaintiffs and defendants, in state and federal courts across the St. Louis area and throughout Missouri and Illinois.   His specialties include personal injury and auto accident suits, construction issues, products liability, contract disputes, premises liability, fire litigation and insurance coverage issues.  Since joining Leritz, Plunkert & Bruning in 1997, he has tried numerous jury trials to verdict and has obtained favorable settlements and pre-trial judgments on many more.  He has argued cases before appellate courts on both sides of the Mississippi River.

            Peter Leritz grew up in St. Louis and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  He studied his junior year at the Institute for American Universities in Aix-en-Provence, France and graduated from St. Louis University in 1988.  After working in banking and as a production stage manager in professional theater, he attended St. Louis University School of Law where he graduated cum laude in 1993.   While at St. Louis University School of Law he served as an Articles Editor of the St. Louis University Law Journal, was awarded the Order of the Woolsack and attained the American Jurisprudence Awards in Constitutional Law and in Remedies.  

            Upon graduation, Peter Leritz served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Edward L. Filippine, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.  He has been in the private practice of law since 1995. 

            Peter N. Leritz has lectured on insurance law issues for Missouri Continuing Legal Education courses, and has authored accompanying articles on causes of action concerning insurance law.  He sits on the Commercial Litigation Committee and the Construction Law Committee at the Defense Research Institute, and the Construction Committee and the Retail Restaurant & Hospitality Committee at the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance.   He has served as a member and secretary of the Brentwood, Missouri Planning and Zoning Commission and has been president of the Board of Education of Mary Queen of Peace Parish in Webster Groves, Missouri.

            Peter Leritz lives in Webster Groves, Missouri with his wife Pam and their four children.
