Stephen G. Walko is a third-generation resident of Greenwich, Connecticut. He graduated from Trinity University with a B.A. in Business Administration and Political Science. He received his J.D. in 1997 from St. John’s University School of Law where he was a member of the American Bankruptcy Law Review. Upon graduation, he began his legal career in New York practicing in the area of labor and employment law litigation.
Mr. Walko joined Ivey, Barnum and O’Mara in 2004 where his areas of practice include litigation, real estate and employment law. He is admitted to the bars of the State of Connecticut and New York as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the New York Appellate Division, Second Department. In 2008, Governor Rell appointed Mr. Walko to serve as an arbitrator on the State Board of Mediation and Arbitration. Mr. Walko is also a member of the Greenwich, Fairfield County and Connecticut Bar Associations.
Mr. Walko is extremely active in charitable and governmental affairs in the Town of Greenwich. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Estimate and Taxation. He has been a Director of Indian Harbor Yacht Club and Chairman of the Representative Town Meeting Budget Overview Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Republican Town Committee.
