Jason S. Walker, an associate in the Casualty Department, maintains a practice which focuses on the areas of insurance fraud and Special Investigation Unit ("SIU") litigation with particular emphasis on large loss fraud, property and medical provider fraud. Jason is a 1997 graduate of Temple University's Insurance and Risk Management program. Immediately following graduation, he accepted a position as a claims representative with a large insurance carrier where he was involved in the investigation and resolution of property and casualty claims. In 2006, he entered Widener University School of Law while continuing to work full time as a Special Investigator. Jason graduated from Widener University School of Law in 2010 with a degree of Juris Doctor. Thereafter, he joined the firm of Marshall, Dennehey.
Jason is a licensed physical damage appraiser in Pennsylvania. He is recognized by the Insurance Institute of America as achieving his Associate in Claims designation. In addition, he has designations in Casualty Claim Law and Fraud Claim Law from the American Educational Institute. In 2009, Jason achieve the designation of Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator as a member of the International Association of Special Investigative Units. Jason has attended the John E. Reid seminar on techniques in Interviewing and Interrogation. For several years prior to and during his attendance at law school, Jason worked as a Special Investigator for an insurance company. Jason investigated underwriting, medical, auto and homeowners fraud investigations in five states. Jason also has experience handling uninsured and underinsured motor vehicle claims.
