“Winningest Plaintiff Attorney” – Missouri Lawyers Weekly, 2011
"Litigator of the Year" - Missouri Lawyers Weekly, 2010
Recognized as one of the top 50 lawyers in St. Louis and described as “Winningest Plaintiff Attorney” and "Best Litigator" by Missouri Lawyers Weekly, Jim Lemonds has tried to jury verdict well over one hundred civil cases in the State and Federal District Courts in Missouri and Illinois.
Jim represents people who have been harmed and families who have lost loved ones because of others' carelessness and dangerous products. The law can fix, help and make up for these harms. For instance, the law can fix what can be fixed, such as repaying lost income and medical bills. It can help what can be helped such as paying for therapies for those conditions that cannot be cured. Most importantly, it can make up for what can’t be fixed or helped, such as lifelong harms or the loss of a loved one. Jim knows how to use the law to get justice for his clients.
Following a twenty-year legal career representing product manufacturers, health care providers and insurance companies, in 2004 Jim began representing the victims in these cases. Jim represents people who have been harmed by dangerous products, bad medical treatment and serious accidents. Jim has successfully handled many multi-million dollar cases for his clients.
Jim is licensed to practice law in the states of Missouri and Illinois. He is admitted to practice in the Federal District Courts and Courts of Appeal in both states. Jim is a member of the American Bar Association, the Missouri Bar, the Illinois Bar Association, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, The Lawyer's Association of St. Louis and the American Association for Justice.
Jim has lectured and written on the topics of legal liability for numerous legal, health care and industry groups.
Jim has authored the following published articles.
“Whence Public Policy”, Journal of the Missouri Bar, July-Aug. 1996 (co-authored with Erich Vieth).
“Establishing Damages in Cases Involving the Death of a Minor,” The Missouri Trial Attorney, Spring 2005 (co-authored with Erich Vieth).
Jim graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law in Saint Louis, Missouri in 1983 and the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1980. He was born September 10, 1957 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
