Mr. Lee is a magna cum laude graduate of New York University School of Law, where he was Senior Notes Editor of the NYU Law Review. He formerly served as a Law Clerk to Hon. Margaret McKeown of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and to the Hon. Henry Kennedy of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Mr. Lee received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University magna cum laude, where he was a Presidential Scholar. Prior to joining the Firm, he was a litigation associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP.
Mr. Lee’s practice focuses on the litigation and arbitration of complex corporate, commercial and financial disputes. He has worked on cases involving securities fraud, banking, shareholder derivative claims, complex financial instruments, accounting and purchase price adjustment, valuation, and M&A disputes. Mr. Lee has litigated cases in numerous state and federal courts, and has arbitrated cases before FINRA and the International Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Lee also has extensive experience in white collar criminal and enforcement proceedings, including internal investigations and defense. He is fluent in Portuguese and proficient in German and Korean, and has represented clients based in Colombia, Brazil, Germany, Korea and the United Kingdom. He was named one of New York's Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2012.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Lee worked at a bulge bracket investment bank, where he handled high yield financings, mergers, and sales of public and private companies, and analyzed potential acquisitions, mergers, and strategic alliances on behalf of the bank itself.
