Randolph was born and raised in Charlotte, NC.
After fulfilling a four- year active duty obligation to the United States Army, Randolph moved to Washington, DC to continue his education in graduate school and to work at high levels of the federal government.
After moving back to Charlotte in 1991, Randolph jumped into the private practice of law. A portion of that practice has involved advising and representing regionally based businesses and actively protecting the Constitutional and legal rights of those charged criminally.
Randolph prefers to focus upon serious criminal cases and is not averse to presenting his clients’ defenses to juries.
Areas of Practice:
Clients have included regionally based, closely held corporations, attorneys and their families, court and judicial department personnel, law enforcement personnel, and foreign nationals. Medical personnel, including physicians and their families, have engaged Randolph’s services for both criminal and family law matters.
Experienced in federal white-collar offenses (such as mortgage and mail/wire fraud, money laundering, health care), drug cases (federal, including conspiracies, murder; state trafficking cases), firearms cases, and matters concerning administrative agencies.
Presented habeas corpus motions (Section 2255s, motions for appropriate relief) in federal and in state courts, resulting in convictions being overturned, sentences reduced, etc.
Obtained acquittals in jury trials by motion and by verdict.
Recently obtained a reduction in bond for an alleged sex offender from $1,000,000 down to $7,000.
