Kimberly C. Lau's practice focuses on commercial litigation. Ms. Lau's practice includes complex commercial litigation, professional liability, employment litigation, judgment enforcement, contract disputes, securities litigation, debtor creditor law, and intellectual property.
Ms. Lau was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She received her B.A. summa cum laude in 2003 from Syracuse University and her J.D. in 2006 from Syracuse University College of Law as a Chancellor's Scholar. While in law school, Ms. Lau was a law clerk for the United States Attorney's Office, Northern District of New York and clerked for Hon. Judge Craig H. Nakamura of the Intermediate Court of Appeals of Hawaii. Ms. Lau has successfully argued cases before various judges in the New York Supreme Courts and successfully appealed a case involving the improper discharge of a mechanic's lien to the New York Appellate Division, Second Department. As a result of her experience in the judiciary and in the private sector, Ms. Lau brings a thorough understanding of the entire litigation process. Ms. Lau also has a background in criminal defense and is a licensed real estate broker in the State of New York.
