Peter Larson's practice focuses on product liability and complex commercial litigation. He oversees the litigation practice in the San Francisco Office and has defended single party, multiparty, and class action product liability and toxic tort claims in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, tobacco products, industrial safety equipment, and medical devices.
Peter's broad experience in complex commercial litigation matters includes unfair competition and deceptive trade practices claims under state and federal consumer protection statutes involving pharmaceutical and chemical distribution and pricing, food and beverage and other consumer products, and consumer financial services. Representative clients in recent matters include Abbott Laboratories, Chevron, Eastman Chemical Company, North Safety Products, Oreck Corporation, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, Sutter Home Winery, Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, and Textron.
Peter regularly serves on the faculty for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and has lectured at seminars on trial tactics, expert witnesses, discovery techniques, and persuasive legal writing. He also serves as the training partner for Jones Day's Northern California offices. He is a member of numerous state and federal bar associations. Peter is a director of the Upjohn Fund of San Francisco and has served as a committee chair and general counsel of The Guardsmen, a not-for-profit charitable organization supporting at risk Bay Area youth.
