Astrid Tsang is a senior associate in the firm's Corporate and Transactional Department, and a member of the Fund Formation Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2008.
Practice
Ms. Tsang focuses her practice on corporate and securities law matters, advising US and non-US private equity funds in connection with capital formations, portfolio investments, corporate governance and fund administration matters. Ms. Tsang also has experience in the areas of venture financing, mergers and acquisitions, public company representation and corporate governance.
Professional Activities
Ms. Tsang is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts. She is actively engaged with the Committee on Transgender Inclusion of the LGBTQ Bar Association of Massachusetts.
Past Experience
During law school, Ms. Tsang completed internships for the Honorable Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson of the Wisconsin Supreme Court and in the Office of Legal Counsel of New York University. She also completed an internship with the Belin Economic Justice Project of the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights of the Boston Bar Association, where she worked with Boston law firms to arrange for the provision of free legal business assistance to low-income entrepreneurs who are starting or expanding small businesses located in under-served communities in Massachusetts.
Prior to beginning her legal studies, Ms. Tsang taught English in Jiangxi, China and worked in brand management at the International Securities Exchange, the first all-electronic equity options exchange in the United States.
Honors and Awards
Selected by the Boston Bar Association (BBA) as a member of the BBA’s Public Interest Leadership Program (PILP) for the 2010-2011 year.
