Lantier, Gregory H.

Greg Lantier is a partner in the firm's Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2004.

Practice

Mr. Lantier’s practice focuses primarily on commercial and intellectual property litigation. He has represented a wide variety of clients in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, financial services, telecommunications, and software industries, and has significant experience before state and federal trial and appellate courts. He also has represented clients before the United States International Trade Commission in several Section 337 proceedings.

Recent Highlights

• Successfully argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit to uphold the trial court’s award of attorneys fees and costs to our client in a patent infringement dispute.
• Represented biotechnology client in patent ownership and trade secrets dispute that resulted in a favorable judgment after a trial before the Delaware Chancery Court.
• Represented medical device manufacturer asserting that its competitor infringed patents relating to methods and devices for performing spinal surgery, resulting in a jury verdict of infringement on both patents.

Professional Activities

Mr. Lantier is a member of the American Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and the Federal Circuit Bar Association.
